Catching Up

You may or may not know that December is the busiest month of the year for us. This year was no different. So much has happened since last time I posted and the only reason I haven't posted is because we have been so busy!! So I'll try and give a rundown of the last 3 weeks.

December 15 -- Samuel's 7th birthday breakfast
What: notice the candle sticking out of the straw that is built into the cereal bowl. We usually do pancakes or muffins or something, but we were completely "out of stock" so we had to make do.


December 15 -- Samuel's 7th birthday "Cupcakes at School"
Who: Samuel's 1st grade classes (he has two: English & Spanish)
Where: on the playground at school
When: recess

The kids waiting to sing "Happy Birthday" and then "Feliz Cumpleanos" to Samuel. He ate up being the center of attention. This was followed up by cupcakes for all.

December 15 -- Samuel's 7th birthday "Family Party"
Who: all family members who could get here (Mom, Dad, Sara, Kristi, Jerry, Ann, MeeMaw, Becky, James, Becky, Jesse, Jaden, Stephanie)
Where: Jerry & Ann's house
When: dinnertime -- we had pizza and spaghetti (Samuel's request) with salad and bread sticks, Mom brought the cookie cake.

December 16 -- Samuel's 7th birthday "Kid Party"
Who: his whole class was invited, plus a few kids from church, we had 11 kids there
Where: we had it at the building where our church meets on Sundays
What: Carnival Party, complete with games, tickets, prizes and a special contest (when kids bought their prizes with their tickets, they used their tickets to vote for who would get a pie in the face at the end of the party -- you'll see from the pictures who won)
