Well, it has begun. All my life, fainting has been something that happens easily. I have lost track of how many times. It's happened in the kitchen, at church, at baccalaureate, at the dentist, giving blood, with the stomach flu, the list goes on and on. The earliest I remember was when I was 10. It may have happened before that, I don't remember.
For Samuel, it happened one month shy of his 7th birthday. Today at school, on his way to the nurse's office, he fainted in the hallway (apparently bumped his head pretty good). He had complained of a headache (before the bump on the head). No other symptoms. His teacher sent him to the nurse's office. The story now is that he passed out twice on the way (that has yet to be confirmed with an adult). David arrived only minutes later b/c he was planning to have lunch with him. He took him to the Dr. The Dr. was not concerned, especially considering his predisposition to fainting passed on by his mother. Probably just a virus (which he also got from his mom who is sick) Poor kid! I guess all we can do now is pray that it doesn't get passed down to Jeremiah. :)
Tomorrow is election day. I'm so ready to be done with the commercials, the yard signs, the hoopla. I'm also ready for it to be over b/c one of my close friends works for our Congressman and I haven't seen her in weeks as she has been swamped in the campaign (I mean working till midnight every day). I miss her and so am ready for it to be over. :)
Sunday is Harvest Sunday at RHCC. It's the biggest day for Missions that Richland Hills has, kind of the pinnacle of all the planning and praying that has been going on for the past several months. Also the end of Sara's official responsibilities as a missionary on furlough. She's coming to see us the week after Thanksgiving -- we're very excited! It's also the end of my Dad's illustrious career as the Minister of Missions at RHCC. He starts his new job full time the next week. I'm not sure the final title they agreed on, but it has to do with overseeing church plants and other neat projects for RHCC. So, he changes jobs, but not offices. He has done an amazing job as the Missions Minister over the past 10+ years. But I'll post more on that later.
That's all I've got for now. Sorry no pics! Maybe next time.

Sorry about the fainting thing - I've only done it once and that's enough for me. I'm curious about your dad's new job. Have I told you I'm attending a RHCC plant in Flower Mound? I'm enjoying it - a bit different at times, but with an undercurrent I recognize and enjoy. Sarah B
Minister of Global Outreach is the preferred title.
Poor Samuel - to inherit such a trait is just not fair. Keep telling him to BREATHE!!!!!
Glad you're praying for the Harvest!! Tomorrow we set up the FLC for the dinner!! Enjoy your friends coming to visit A&M on Saturday!! Have fun at the game, too. Please tell me the Ags will pull this one out!!
Cool, Sarah B that you're attending Bridgeway!
love you,
mom
