I'm Back

Not from really anywhere in particular, just back to the blogging world. I have lots of pictures, but before I get to those, I want to ask for your prayers. My Grandma Brabham (my Mom's Mom) was just diagnosed with Chronic lymphocytic leukemia. She's 91 years old and lives by herself on a 250+ acre farm outside of Fairfield. She still feeds the cows from the back of her Dodge Ram 4x4 pick-up truck. She is an amazing woman! Please keep her in your prayers over the next couple weeks as well as the family & doctors as they figure out what the course of action should be.
My family with Grandma B. about two years ago.

Isn't she beautiful?!?!

You would also use the word spunky to describe my Grandmother.

Life through the eyes of a 7 year old

Samuel received a digital camera for Christmas from Nana (it was actually her old one) and he LOVES it! He takes pictures of everything (and changes the batteries at least once a day -- I told him he's going to have to start buying his own batteries). Here are a few of the many.
This is his favorite picture so far because he took it of himself. He hasn't figured out how to smile and take the picture at the same time. :)

Nana & Jeremiah

This is a great picture of the almost 3 year old Jeremiah!

Samuel and his other new favorite thing: Legos.

How did this happen?

There are some things in life that happen and they seem so natural but if you step back for a minute, you realize, "OK, this is actually kinda freaky weird!" One of those things happened last night when we got to have dinner with Jeremiah's biological grandfather (we need a new, more loving, personal term) Tony. He came into town and joined us for dinner at Jerry & Ann's house. What a joy to have Tony in our lives! He is so fun to be with, he loves our family and is passionate about the Kingdom. The relationship is completely natural. And my kids love him! Samuel asked me this morning: "Is Tony still here?" I said yes, but that he was returning home today. He said, "I don't want Tony to leave." Thank you Lord for adding to our family! And to think, if it weren't for Jeremiah we wouldn't know this wonderful man and his amazing family (we love them all, btw). :) To read more posts about this incredible blessing in our lives, visit here and here.

This is one of my favorite pictures ever! How cute is that?

Tony & Jeremiah. What a blessing!!
