Ice Hockey

Several weeks ago when it was raining, we all went to the mall to kill time. There was a Kids' Fair that day (we didn't know that). While there David put his name in a raffle for the local ice skating rink. He won! He won a semester of free ice skating/hockey lessons. So we signed Samuel up and every Monday evening for the months of March and April, Samuel has ice skating lessons (they would be hockey lessons if he knew how to ice skate). :) He actually does pretty good for a six year old. He's been roller blading for over a year, so that helps. Here are a few pics.

It's almost his turn to go on the ice. Notice the gloves. We didn't have those the first week. He's now very good at remembering them. :)He spends most of his 30 min. lesson skating back and forth across the rink.

About my poor Aggies (who I am very proud of btw!!), I'm going to go with Joe Hays' logic that I copied below (here's his website).

"Duke got beat tonight. LSU stung the Blue Devils with an eight point win. So, and this is where the 5th grade sporting logic comes into play, if LSU beat Duke by eight and the Aggies lost to LSU by one, then the Aggies would beat Duke by seven. Cool, huh? I'm a huge Duke fan but A&M is where my heart is, so it's kinda cool to say that my Aggies would beat Duke by seven...according to my fifth grade logic."
