My favorite sister got to make a quick trip to the US over Memorial Weekend. Her best friend from college was getting married and Sara was in the wedding. So she tacked on a couple days to the beginning and end of her trip and came to see us. What a blessing! Sara and I are seven years apart in age -- so growing up, she was always just too young to be much use to me. But as we have gotten older, I crave every minute I get to spend with her. She is funny, intelligent, and sarcastic, and she encourages me to be a better person, a better wife and a better mom. I love you Sara!

Well, school is officially out. Samuel will happily tell you that he passed Kindergarten and is headed to 1st grade. He's making a pitstop in Summer School (which sounds much more remedial than it is -- he's taking a craft class and a spanish class -- it's something to get us up and out every morning).
Here are pics from the last day of school. Sara got to be here for Water Day and has posted some more really cute pics
here.
This was a somewhat daunting site -- 150 swimsuit clad Kindergarteners.

Samuel & our next door neighbor, Jacob. They are in the same class.

Samuel's other brilliant Kindergarten teacher, Sr. Osth.
Since Sara's wedding (well, not actually her wedding, but the wedding she was in) was in Austin, we got to drive her there. Which meant, we dropped her off at a hotel on Friday afternoon and didn't see her again until late Sunday night. So, we decided to take advantage of the time and spent it with Aunt Kristi (David's sister) and Aunt JoJo (my college roommate). We had tons of fun and enjoyed catching up with each of them. I also love it when my kids get to spend time with both of these very special women. Thank you both for such a great weekend!

You almost made me cry! (although that really isn't too big of a compliment since I can cry at the drop of a hat) : ) Thanks for the sweet words. You're the best big sister EVER!! I also love the pic of Jojo, Kristi and Jeremiah. So cute! I'm so glad I got to see you for a couple of days and that I get to see you again next month!! Yeah!
Give my love to the boys.
Love,
Sara
