Things I love

I just returned from a weekend in Ft. Worth. I had several moments that kind of stuck out to me that I thought would be fun to blog about, but nothing really big, so I figured I would start a list of things I love. You'll see what I mean. (these are in no particular order):

- I love to hear my Mom giggle when an American wins a gold medal in the Olympics. It is pure joy for her. She giggles, she tears up, she claps. It is so fun to watch!

- I love watching the Olympics with Samuel. Samuel LOVES the Olympics -- he will even watch curling. So once every 2 years, Samuel gets to watch as much TV as he wants - as long as it's the Olympics. He is entranced, and he can do it all day long. After watching my Mom this weekend, I see how it has been passed down from one generation to the next. We are definitely an Olympics family! (I asked someone two days after the Olympics started if they were Olympic people. She said, Yea, we watch the Olympics. I asked if she had seen it the day before. She said, "Oh, I didn't know it had started already." I thought, "You are obviously NOT Olympic people." :)

- I love to sing! My sweet friend, Ryan Christian, the worship leader at Richland Hills is so nice to me. He was one soprano short this morning, so he let me sub. I don't know of anyone else who gets to come into town and join the praise team for the day. But I'm not sure anyone else misses it as much as I do. Thank you Ryan!!!

- I love my husband! I love watching my boys get excited to see him after a long weekend away. I love seeing him after a long weekend away.

- I love the fact that people in B/CS are recognizing the wisdom that David has from years of study and experience with biblical financial counseling. He was part of a panel this morning at church where he was asked to share some of that wisdom. He said it went very well.

- I love blogs. I love being able to keep up with my friends from around the world. And I love that they can keep up with me without me feeling guilty b/c I haven't emailed lately.
