crazy summer

I know from talking to some of you that there are actually people who check this on a somewhat regular basis. And I know that you all are very disappointed right now. I wish I was better at updating this thing, but the summer has been absolutely crazy! So please bear with me. I promise once school starts that I will actually have more than 5 minutes to sit at the computer and will upload gobs of pictures from our summer.

Suffice it to say that we have been very busy!! Swimming lessons, a trip to Padre, each of the boys have taken a trip to Ft. Worth to visit Nana & Pop (these trips were separate so they each had really good one-0n-one time). They are also going to each take a trip with Grandma & Grandpa. Samuel will go to San Antonio with them next week and Jeremiah will go to Houston in August. Sara is visiting the states next week so we will be in Ft. Worth for several days. Samuel has already attended basketball camp for a week and will go to theater camp next month. We're looking at the budget to see if Jeremiah can start gymnastics. We've been camping with our friends Ken & Anne and their kids and are planning a trip to Galveston to see Kimie & Daniel (David performed their wedding in May). We've gone to two family reunions, one of them was an entire weekend here in College Station with the Parks family. Swamped, I tell you -- swamped!!

But it's been lots of fun! The boys are doing really well. Jeremiah went through a tough spell earlier in the summer, but we think we have that resolved. Oh, did I mention that the boys now have their own bedrooms and that our next door neighbors (and closest friends -- you've probably seen pictures of their boys and ours on this blog before) moved to Midland. That made for a pretty rough week, but we're learning to survive without them and praying about who will move in. That's about all the time I have now for an update. I will post one family picture, so you can see everyone, but by the time I get that up the boys will be going crazy so I'll have to get off. :) Love you all and hope your summer is as full of fun and adventure as ours has been.
