Soooo Busy!

Samuel had a picture chosen by his art teacher to be in the College Station ISD Art Show. Here he is beside his picture. The next pic is David & Samuel looking at the pictures. Samuel's is on the bottom right. We also found out that his picture was chosen to hang in a frame at Texas A&M for the next year. If I understand correctly, only 10 were chosen from the entire district. We'll see. He loves to draw!!! It's fun to see him being rewarded for it.

Almost 2 weeks ago, Samuel & I had our second piano recital. He did so good!!! Maybe I'll post the video someday.
Last week David & I were in Washington DC from Monday - Thursday. That meant my days consisted of sleeping, museums, monuments, more sleeping and then partying at night (OK, it wasn't really partying, but it was dinner at nice restaurants). David had to spend the days working. :) We went with the B/CS Chamber of Commerce and as a result, got to do things that we wouldn't normally get to do (dinner cruise on the Potomac, etc.). Thanks Jerry & Ann for keeping the boys -- they had so much fun!!!
Dinner at McCormick & Schmicks.

David talking to the boys while on the dinner cruise.

We got home at 9pm on Thursday. That night our friend Kimie's parents spent the night with us. The next morning Kimie & her fiance, Daniel, came over for breakfast. Then they went to pack Kimie's house and that night she graduated from A&M.

Saturday morning, we got up and drove to Ft. Worth to Mom & Dad's house. We ate lunch with them and that afternoon, David & I went to the rehearsal dinner for Kimie & Daniel's wedding. I coordinated the wedding and David performed it. We had an incredible dinner after rehearsal and didn't get home till 11:30pm. Thanks Mom & Dad for keeping the boys while we were doing wedding stuff (they loved making pancakes with Pop).

We got to play with Mom & Dad and the boys Sunday morning. Then David & I went back to Dallas for the wedding. It was beautiful! And we had a great time!

Emily, Laura & Brad (from our ComGroup) at the wedding (Kimie is in our ComGroup too). Tim & Kristen were also there, but they left before I got to take a picture.

Monday morning we got up early and headed home. Samuel got to school a little late. But we were glad we didn't try to come home Sunday night.

Monday afternoon, Jessica came to visit on her way back to Dallas. She will be in Connecticut all summer doing an internship. We are so excited for her!

The rest of this week has been spent getting back into our routine. Today was Jeremiah's last day of school and next Thursday is Samuel's last day. So we are entering into SUMMER!!! Any great ideas for keeping the kids entertained?

I wanted a close up of the picture. I had no idea we had an artist on our hands. Well, I guess my drawing talent had to go somewhere after it left me.
